The The Honorable Shawn Long Memorial Scholarship was established in honor of Shawn M. Long, a distinguished judge, attorney, Marine, and dedicated community leader from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Judge Long was deeply committed to his family, profession, and country, and he actively served the United Disabilities Services Foundation for eighteen years as a board member and nine years as Board Chair. Created in his memory, this Scholarship aims to support a hardworking and dedicated high school senior from Lancaster County as they transition to post-secondary education. The Scholarship gives strong preference to students who aspire to pursue careers aligned with the mission of United Disabilities Services—enhancing abilities and helping individuals live their best possible lives.
