Milliman’s Life Technology Solutions (LTS) practice is offering a full-time seasonal Data Engineering Internship at its Chicago office. LTS develops Integrate, a leading application used in the life insurance industry for financial modelling, reporting, business planning, and insurance product pricing. As a Data Engineering Intern, you will work closely with data engineers and actuarial consultants to design, develop, and optimize ETL processes and data pipelines. The internship provides hands-on experience with modern data technologies, Azure cloud platforms, database systems, and data modeling in a collaborative and professional environment. Interns will contribute to real-world projects, perform exploratory data analysis, support data governance practices, and help ensure data quality and reliability.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria: Applicants must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (with a Computer Science minor preferred). Candidates should have experience with Python or R (preferred). Applicants must have experience developing and debugging programs. Knowledge of SQL is preferred. Experience with Power BI or willingness to learn reporting tools is desirable. Candidates must possess strong communication, project management, and time management skills. Applicants should demonstrate interest in a software engineering or data engineering career through coursework, projects, or prior internships.
