The Deep Learning & NDE Data Analysis Internship at GE Aerospace offers a full-time, six-month research-driven opportunity at the John F. Welch Technology Center (JFWTC), Bengaluru. Interns will work with the Material Systems and Inspection Research Team to develop advanced deep learning and computer vision solutions for non-destructive evaluation (NDE), particularly using X-ray and CT imaging data. The role focuses on enhancing image quality, defect detection, and inspection insights through experimentation-driven model development. This internship provides hands-on exposure to aerospace-grade research, industrial inspection systems, and scalable deep learning pipelines in a collaborative R&D environment.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria: Applicants must be currently pursuing a Master’s degree or an advanced Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Applied Physics, Data Science, or a related field. Candidates should have a strong foundation in deep learning for computer vision, including CNNs and encoder–decoder architectures. Applicants must demonstrate hands-on experience with Python-based deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow. The role requires strong analytical thinking, experimentation skills, and the ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional research teams. Note: This internship is exclusively available in India. Specifically, available in Bangalore.
