Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria: These internships are applicable to bachelors, engineering & masters in related fields. Here are the few available internships opportunities: Data Science Internship: Currently pursuing an M.Tech, MS (Research), or PhD in a technical field such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Remote Sensing, or related disciplines. Undergraduates or dual-degree students with relevant research experience may also be considered. Relevant Experience: Proven experience or demonstrated skills in computer vision, natural language processing (NLP), machine learning (ML) systems, or foundational models. Technical Expertise: Familiarity with machine learning techniques such as CNNs, LSTMs, Transformers, Generative Models (GANs, VAE), Self-Supervised Learning, and more. Knowledge of geospatial techniques like NDVI, SAR, and image time-series models is a plus. Programming Skills: Proficiency in at least one general programming language (preferably Python) and hands-on experience with ML frameworks like PyTorch. Publications (Optional): Prior research publications in major conferences such as ICLR, CVPR, ICML, NeurIPS, etc., would be an added advantage, particularly those where the candidate is the first author. Industry Experience: 0-1 years of experience in industry or relevant internships, if applicable. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for articulating technical findings to stakeholders. Machine Learning Internship: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, with at least 1 year of experience in building and scaling end-to-end ML/DL pipelines. Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Python, ML/DL fundamentals, and PyTorch for designing, fine-tuning, and deploying computer vision models like object detection and image segmentation. Problem-solving & Workflow Management: Skills in rapid prototyping, managing large datasets, version control (Git), and writing test cases for ML/DL workflows. Collaboration & Communication: Strong analytical skills, excellent teamwork, and the ability to communicate technical solutions to diverse stakeholders. Good to Have (Bonus Points): Geospatial Expertise: Experience with geospatial libraries like Rasterio, Xarray, Geopandas, and GDAL, working with raster and vector data. Distributed Computing & Workflow Management: Familiarity with distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Dask) and workflow management tools like Airflow or MLflow. Cloud Platforms: Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP. Other Internship: Currently pursuing a degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Geospatial Engineering, Earth Sciences, or related disciplines. Familiarity with satellite data analytics, geospatial intelligence, machine learning, or Earth observation is preferred. Strong interest in technology, space, and data-driven solutions. Ability to think critically, analyze complex datasets, and contribute to innovative projects. Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and teamwork. Note: These internships are exclusively available in India. Specifically in Bangalore.
