The Operations Support – Apprentice role at HSBC Mumbai is a full-time, 12-month apprenticeship program designed for fresh graduates who wish to build a strong foundation in banking operations and commercial banking services. Selected apprentices will work with the GCOO Payment Services Team, supporting daily operational and administrative activities related to capital account transactions, regulatory coordination, vendor management, and internal compliance. This apprenticeship offers hands-on exposure to real-world banking processes, operational risk management, automation initiatives, and customer-centric service delivery within one of the world’s leading financial institutions.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria: The candidate must have completed Graduation or Post-Graduation from a UGC-recognized university. The applicant must be a fresh graduate within 0–5 years of completing the Bachelor’s degree. The candidate must not have completed any previous Government-regulated Apprenticeship. The applicant must possess valid mark sheets and provisional or final degree certificates. The applicant should have a strong interest in banking operations and commercial banking services. Note: This apprenticeship is exclusively available in India. Specifically, available in Mumbai.

Responsibilities
Interns will: Support daily operations and administration of capital account transactions and regulatory queries. Coordinate regulatory filings, RBI liaison, and customer and business engagements. Liaise with external vendors to ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned tasks. Support automation initiatives within the operations team. Maintain HSBC’s internal control standards and assist in implementing audit recommendations. Follow Group Compliance policies and ensure adherence to operational risk management guidelines. Identify and mitigate operational risk scenarios associated with assigned responsibilities. Deliver high levels of efficiency and customer service to support the Bank’s strategic objectives.
