The SRIP Internship 2026 (Summer Research Internship Programme) offered by the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) is a prestigious summer research opportunity for students pursuing Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at reputed institutions in India. This internship allows selected students to work closely with IITGN faculty members on advanced research projects during the summer break. The internship will be conducted in offline (in-person) mode, where students are required to stay on campus and actively engage with their faculty mentors. Participants will gain hands-on research experience, academic exposure, and professional development. Upon successful completion, interns will receive a stipend and an official certificate from IITGN.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria: The applicant must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree at a recognized institution in India. The applicant must apply to work with an IITGN faculty mentor based on academic interests and prior experience. Students may apply for projects outside their declared degree specialization. The applicant must be available for at least 8 weeks during the IITGN summer break. Selected students must submit a project report and deliver a presentation at the end of the internship. Note: This internship is exclusively available in India. Specifically, in Gandhinagar.

Responsibilities
Interns will: Work closely with the assigned IITGN faculty mentor. Participate actively in research discussions and project-related activities. Complete assigned research tasks within the specified duration. Submit a detailed final report upon completion. Deliver a presentation summarizing the research findings.
