Bihar Post Matric Scholarship 2025
The Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme – Bihar is a government initiative aimed at promoting higher education among students from disadvantaged communities. Implemented by the Government of Bihar, this scheme provides financial assistance to students belonging to the Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Extremely Backward Classes (EBC). The scholarship helps cover educational expenses for students pursuing post-secondary and higher education courses, thereby reducing the financial burden on families and encouraging continued education beyond matriculation.
Documents Required
Applicants submit the following documents: Aadhaar Card (Proof of Identity) Caste Certificate Domicile Certificate Family Income Certificate Bank Account Details Admission Letter and Fee Receipt Bonafide Certificate from the Institution Last Exam Passing Marksheet Passport-size Photographs
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria: The applicant must be a permanent resident of Bihar. The applicant’s caste must be listed under the Backward Class or Extremely Backward Class categories recognized by the Bihar State Government. The applicant must be pursuing higher studies after passing the Matriculation/Entry Examination. The annual family income must not exceed: 2,50,000 for Extremely Backward Classes (EBC). 3,00,000 for Other Backward Classes (OBC). The scholarship is limited to two sons per family (this restriction does not apply to daughters).
