JM Sethia Merit Scholarship 2025
The JM Sethia Merit Scholarship is a financial aid program designed to support students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds in pursuing higher education. This scholarship is open to students from Class 9 to Post Graduation & PHD, including professional courses. It aims to empower academically talented individuals by easing their financial burden and enabling them to achieve their educational and career aspirations. Students whose family income is less than INR 1,20,000 per annum are eligible to apply. Documents Required
Applicants submit the following documents: Hardcopy of the mark sheet. Passport-size photograph. Proof of income (Income Certificate). Special category certificate (if applicable). Copy of reservation certificate (if applicable).
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria: Applicants must be Indian Citizens. It is exclusively open to both genders. It is exclusively open to all categories. Applicants must have studied subjects including but not limited to: Maths/Mathematics, Algebra, Geometry, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Geography, History, Citizenship, Physical Education (P.E.), Business Studies, Home Economics, Trigonometry, Statistics, English, Hindi, Bengali, Computer Application, Statistical, Economics, Computer Science, Science, Sanskrit, Accounts, Social Science, Physical Science, Urdu, and other relevant subjects. This scholarship is eligible for students ranging from class 9th to Post Graduation, as well as professional courses across various fields. For 9th to 12th: Applicants must have scored a minimum of 75% marks overall in the 8th class to be eligible to apply. For Graduation: Science/Commerce Stream: Applicants must have achieved a minimum of 75% marks overall in the 12th class to be eligible to apply. Arts Stream: Applicants must have obtained a minimum of 65% marks overall in the 12th class to be eligible to apply. For Post Graduation: Science/Commerce Stream: Applicants must have secured a minimum of 60% marks overall at the graduation level to be eligible to apply. Arts Stream: Applicants must have attained a minimum of 50% marks overall at the graduation level to be eligible to apply. For Professional Courses: Science/Commerce Stream: Applicants must have earned a minimum of 60% marks overall either in the 12th class or at the graduation level to be eligible to apply. Arts Stream: Applicants must have achieved a minimum of 50% marks overall either in the 12th class or at the graduation level to be eligible to apply. Special Category - Handicapped: Applicants with disabilities are eligible to apply. No specific academic percentage requirement mentioned for this category, but they must meet the general academic criteria based on their educational level. Excellence in Extra-Curricular Activities: Applicants who have excelled in extracurricular activities such as sports, NCC (National Cadet Corps) B certificate holders, debating, dramatics, and social services are eligible.
