UMMEED Scholarship 2025
The UMMEED Scholarship, established by the Dr. Majeed Foundation, aims to provide financial assistance to underprivileged yet academically talented students who face financial barriers in pursuing a basic degree education. Founded by Dr. Muhammed Majeed, the Chairman of Sami/Sabinsa Group, the foundation is dedicated to supporting students in realizing their educational aspirations and empowering them to contribute to society. Initially launched in select areas of Uttar Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh, the UMMEED project is expanding across various regions in India, irrespective of caste, creed, or religion. The scholarship serves as a crucial stepping stone for deserving students to access higher education, equipping them with the tools to build brighter futures and overcome financial challenges. Through this initiative, the Dr. Majeed Foundation seeks to make quality education accessible to all, fostering equality and opportunity for young minds across the country.
Documents Required
Applicants submit the following documents: Application Form 2 Photos of student Copy of Aadhaar cards - Parents & student 12 th Standard Mark Sheet Selection letter / Confirmation of admission from the institute Valid Email ID & Mobile No.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following criteria: This scholarship is applicable to all states. This scholarship is exclusively open to both the genders. This scholarship is exclusively open to all categories. Students must have passed the 12th standard exam in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks. Applicants' family income should not exceed Rs. 2,00,000 per annum. Assistance will be provided at the beginning of each academic year and will continue until the last year of graduation, provided the student passes each year. Failure to pass will result in discontinuation of assistance. A copy of the passing certificate, attested by the Principal with the college seal, must be sent immediately. Note: Once a letter is received from the college confirming admission, a cheque will be issued to the college directly. Or If the fees are already paid then the educational assistance cheque will be given in the name of the student, who must have a bank account.

As an student, you will receive: To support bright students who cannot continue their studies after completing PUC/12th standard due to financial difficulties. Annual tuition fees will be paid directly to the government college. Educational assistance of up to Rs. 12,000 per year or the actual tuition fees, whichever is less.
